Brickilism Landscape Art

by E.A. Evans

Welcome to the artwork of Elizabeth A. Evans, an award winning painter who has been providing her special brand of art to a growing number of collectors and fans for over 30 years. As an artist, she is continually growing and exploring the world around her. For the most part, her style can be classified as "representational", (as opposed to abstract). The subject matter is readily recognizable but the
treatment is what makes her unique.

In 2008 she founded a genre of painting known as Brickilism - essentially creating a painting with tiny bricks of colour placed next to each other when viewed from a distance form a seamless visual feast of colour, light and form. This form of painting was a response to desire to paint West Coast landscapes in a unique way - in a way that captured the wild, incredibly beautiful nature of the land.

Here's what some of her collectors had to say:
"Thanks Elizabeth for an amazing painting that lights up the whole room" - D. Noonan, Ottawa, Ontario
"I just love this painting, it's the centerpiece of the whole room" - S. McCrae, North Vancouver, B.C.
"I hung the painting in my office and wow, does it ever make a difference. It creates a wonderful, energizing and
yet tranquil setting" - Eric H. in Vancouver
